Best Way Ever to Put Off Chemistry

I'm doing a very good job of avoiding homework today! Time to start up an art blog. Recently there was a comment on FB about people wanting to see the projects I'm working on...

And maybe in this new town where I don't know very many people and find myself needing an outlet, I should be making a concious effort to feed the artist within. Even if that means I am taking a little time away from chemistry. Trust me, I need some time away from it. And you know, I've been knocking my knitting for being "just knitting" but it saves me. It's a slow, rhythmic kind of art. It's meditative at times.

So... Right now I'm working on a shawl out of Think Bamboo Thick and Thin. It's a 70bamboo/30wool blend and it' soooooooooooo soft. Usually people think lighter weight when they think shawl, I but I say no. This is Minnesota. I promise I will post a pic soon.

I'm also working on two bags which are long-term projects. I am making a backpack out of acrylic. It's in a color block pattern of black, teal, grey, and a multicolor to match. The main piece is about half done. It was gonna be my school bag but it definately would not bear the weight of all my books so now it will be a day tripper I think. The other bag is a knitting bag, in super chunky wool. It will be nice to hold a substantial project or a few smaller ones. It's in green and teal and fuschia and a multicolor to match. I'm knitting it in strips and then sewing it together.

So Definately Definately posting pictures soon! Gonna actually go do some homework right now... Probably...
